Denver를 떠나서 (정확하게는 Dever옆에 있는 Boulder) Ardmore라는 오클라호마에 있는 작은 도시로 이동해왔다. 인구 30000명정도의 작은 도시라는데... Boulder에 있을때는 Mariott 호텔에 있었는데, 여기서는 Holiday Inn을 잡아주는군... 흑 Downgrade된 느낌이다. 깨끗하긴 하지만, 카펫이 좀 칙칙하군. 인터넷도 좀 느리고... 이구. 작은 도시여서 Holiday Inn이 최고 좋은 호텔인가 보다.

Denver에서 비행기를 타고 Dallas로 가서 거기에서 Imtec Corp직원과 만나서 차로 1시간 반 타고 도착한 Ardmore. 중간에 바베큐 립을 저녁을 사줬는데, 맛있더군. 값도 저렴하고 로컬분위기 나는게 좋았다. 처음에는 Applebee 같은곳 대려 갈려다가 내가 체인 레스토랑 보다는 Local 분위기를 더 좋아한다고 하니까, 바베큐 레스토랑으로 대려가더군. Onion Ring과 립이 맛있고 분위기도 시골 바 같은게 좋았다.

내일부터는 Imtec의 Dr. Bulard와 일하게 된다. 이틀동안만 있는거지만, 굉장히 energetic한 분이라니 꽤 바쁜 일정이 될 듯하다. 아침 같이 먹으면서 회의 시작이라는데... 긴장해야 할려나...

Multiple Exposure이란 아티스트의 Jazzattack이란 곡이다.
Benz Mixed Tape 9에 들어있는 곡중에 마음에 들어서
올린다. 부드러운 리듬에 보컬이 잘 어우러져 있는것 같다.

Final Fantasy. Square사의 유명한 RPG 게임 시리즈의 이름이다.
1996년이였던가, 97년이였던가... 주말에 상용이 방에 모여서
상용이 컴퓨터로 게임 선전물 씨디를 보고 있었는데, 그 중 하나가
Final Fantasy VII였다. 게임 출시전 예고편이였는데, 당시로서는
정말 환상적인 그래픽과 멋있는 캐릭터들로 가득찬 게임으로
보였다. 한 15초쯤 되는 동영상이였던가... 그걸 친구들과 계속해서
돌려보며 감탄을 연발했었지.

그 후 대학에 들어가서 Final Fantasy VII 게임을 직접 구매했지만
내가 사용하던 노트북 컴퓨터와 그래픽카드가 잘 맞지 않아서
제대로 하지 못하고 책상속 깊이 묻히게 되었지.

2005년 초여름. 갑자기 인터넷에 Final Fantasy VII의 동영상이
돌기 시작했다. 나는 Final Fantasy VII를 PSP용으로 리메이크하나
생각했었는데, 알고 보니 Final Fantasy VII의 극장판의 예고편이였다.
Final Fantasy VII 게임에 이어지는 스토리로 만든 영화이다.

그 영화가 몇일전 발매되었다. 그리고 그와 동시에 인터넷으로
공유가 시작되었고. 어제 나도 다운받아서 오늘 보는데, 상당히
인상적이였다. 게임에 비해서 캐릭터들이 몇배는 더 멋있어
졌고, 그래픽의 향상은 두말할것도 없다. 스토리 라인도 그럭저럭
볼만했고. 주요 캐릭터들의 액션 장면은 정말 장관. 다만 아쉬운
점이 있다면 주인공인 클라우드가 너무 미소년으로 표현되었다는것.
좀 남자답게 그리지, 왤케 게이틱한 꽃미남으로 그린건지... 흠
일본틱한건가...

Final Fantasy VII의 뒷배경을 모르는 사람이 보면 약간 스토리
이해가 약간 느려질수 있다. 하지만 전투장면은 정말 멋지다. 아직
못보신 Final Fantasy팬들은 꼭 보기바란다. 나도 책상속에 묻혀있는
Final Fantasy VII게임을 다시 해봐야겠다.

정훈이와 술한잔 하고 돌아오는길.
길바닦에 양복을 입은 노인 한분이 쓰러져 계신다.
